Gustave Eiffel is, of course, inseparable from his most famous creation\u2014the Eiffel Tower, designed between 1887 and 1889 and now a global symbol of the French capital. But did you know that Paris is home to many other structures designed by Eiffel and his workshops<\/b><\/span>?<\/p>

Here\u2019s a five-stop tour of some of his lesser-known Parisian masterpieces.<\/p>

The Suspension Bridge at Parc des Buttes-Chaumont<\/b><\/h3>

In the 19th arrondissement, the charming Parc des Buttes-Chaumont<\/b><\/span> hides one of Gustave Eiffel\u2019s Parisian works: the suspension bridge<\/b><\/span> that crosses the lake to reach the Belv\u00e9d\u00e8re Island, crowned by the famous Temple de la Sibylle.<\/p>

Built in 1867<\/b><\/span>, the bridge stands 8 meters above the lake<\/b><\/span> and stretches nearly 65 meters long<\/b><\/span>. Made of metal and wood, it leads to one of the park\u2019s most romantic and scenic viewpoints. Closed for almost twenty years, the bridge was reconstructed in 1974<\/b><\/span>, staying remarkably true to Eiffel\u2019s original plans.<\/p>

Le Shack<\/b><\/h3>

Near the Op\u00e9ra Garnier, Le Shack<\/b><\/span> now occupies the former Calmann-L\u00e9vy publishing house printing building<\/b><\/span>, designed by Gustave Eiffel in 1872<\/b><\/span>.<\/p>

Today, this beautifully restored structure has been transformed into a vibrant hybrid space\u2014part coworking hub, part restaurant, cocktail bar, and wellness area\u2014covering 1,500 square meters<\/b><\/span>. Visitors can still admire its original features: an 11-meter-high glass roof<\/b><\/span>, iron framework<\/b><\/span>, and wooden libraries with their ladders<\/b><\/span>, all testaments to Eiffel\u2019s architectural brilliance.<\/p>

The Former Cr\u00e9dit Lyonnais Headquarters<\/b><\/h3>

In the 2nd arrondissement stands another of Eiffel\u2019s Parisian constructions: the former headquarters of Cr\u00e9dit Lyonnais<\/b><\/span>. Its architecture was inspired by the Pavilion de l\u2019Horloge at the Louvre<\/b><\/span>, and Eiffel\u2019s workshops designed the metal framework<\/b><\/span>, the 21-meter-high glass canopy<\/b><\/span>, and the clock hall\u2019s structure<\/b><\/span>.<\/p>

A true feat of 19th-century engineering\u2014majestic and monumental.<\/p>

The Palais Galliera<\/b><\/h3>

Eiffel\u2019s company also designed the metal structure<\/b><\/span> of the Palais Galliera<\/b><\/span> in 1884<\/b><\/span>, along with the staircase railings, glass bays, and garden gates.<\/p>

Now home to the City of Paris Fashion Museum<\/b><\/span>, this elegant Beaux-Arts building hosts acclaimed temporary exhibitions celebrating haute couture and design.<\/p>

Le Paradis Latin<\/b><\/h3>

Among Gustave Eiffel\u2019s most beautiful Parisian creations is Le Paradis Latin<\/b><\/span>, the oldest cabaret in the French capital<\/b><\/span>. Rebuilt by Eiffel\u2019s workshops in preparation for the 1889 World\u2019s Fair<\/b><\/span>, the same year as the Tower, the cabaret is a true architectural gem.<\/p>

Its historic hall<\/b><\/span>, with cathedral-like proportions, is crowned by a magnificent iron and glass dome<\/b><\/span>, blending elegance and grandeur. Today, Le Paradis Latin continues to dazzle audiences with L\u2019Oiseau Paradis<\/i>\u2014a poetic, humorous, and spectacular revue choreographed by Kamel Ouali<\/b><\/span>.<\/p>

A visionary engineer and prolific builder, Gustave Eiffel left his mark on more than 500 structures across the world<\/b><\/span>\u2014and many of his finest creations still grace Paris today.<\/p>

From the tranquil walkways of Buttes-Chaumont to the elegant halls of the Palais Galliera\u2014and the magical stage of Le Paradis Latin\u2014you can still admire the genius of this extraordinary craftsman of iron and imagination.<\/p>
