Alcazar’s history begins in 1968, at 62 rue Mazarine, in the 6th arrondissement. At the time, Saint-Germain-des-Pr\u00e9s was the beating heart of Parisian intellectual and artistic life. It is in this vibrant neighbourhood that Jean-Marie Rivi\u00e8re opened Alcazar, with a singular idea: to blend restaurant, live stage and festive spirit in a unique place.<\/p>

\"Serge<\/a> Success was immediate. Alcazar quickly became one of the essential rendezvous of Parisian nights. Its stage welcomed international artistic figures: David Bowie, Liza Minnelli, Duke Ellington, Jos\u00e9phine Baker, Dalida, Serge Gainsbourg, Jacques Brel, \u00c9dith Piaf. L’Alcazar Steps Back into the Spotlight<\/h2>

After a pause for an ambitious transformation, Alcazar reopens its doors on September 4th 2026. This renaissance is driven by Walter Butler, already at the head of Paradis Latin and Butler Collection. The stated ambition is clear: to revive the avant-garde spirit that made the place famous, while inscribing it in a contemporary modernity. Alcazar does not replay its past, it reinvents it.<\/p>

A new decor, a new breath<\/h2>

For this reopening, Alcazar entrusted the design of its decor to Bureau Lacroix, accompanied by several luxury artisans. The result composes a true contemporary theatre: red velvet, gold and marble, mosaics, Art Deco bas-reliefs, a spectacular glass canopy and a monumental staircase. A decor that extends the heritage while offering a contemporary reading.<\/p>

On the culinary side, the menu is signed by chefs Zouhair Bouhlal and Guillaume Lutard. A proposal inspired by the great classics of French gastronomic heritage, where emblematic dishes dialogue with more contemporary creations, in a generous spirit centred on the pleasure of taste.<\/p>

Walter Butler himself ensures the artistic direction of the project, supported by Quentin Michel in creation and Raffaele Lucania in choreography. Every evening, the stage welcomes an ever-renewing programme: singers, dancers, acrobats and performers succeed one another to offer an always different experience.<\/p>

The rhythm of the Maison follows that of the Parisian week. From Thursday to Sunday, dinner fully enters the show: the Grand Hall sees a succession of artists, music, dance and performances, in an evening that evolves into a celebration. From Monday to Wednesday, the atmosphere changes: the menu is discovered \u00e0 la carte, accompanied by a piano-vocal or a live band, in a more intimate atmosphere conducive to conversation and reunions.<\/p>
