\u00c9rig\u00e9 \u00e0 500 m\u00e8tres de Notre-Dame de Paris par Napol\u00e9on, le lieu est d&rsquo;abord un th\u00e9\u00e2tre o\u00f9 bourgeois, intellectuels, commer\u00e7ants, ouvriers et \u00e9tudiants se croisent. On peut notamment y rencontrer Balzac, Alexandre Dumas et Prosper M\u00e9rim\u00e9e.
