The Paradis Latin, the oldest cabaret in Paris built by Gustave Eiffel in 1889, has been presenting its show “L’Oiseau Paradis” since 2019. Directed and choreographed by Kamel Ouali, the show of Paradis Latin is a mix of sensuality, poetry, emotion, comedy and new technology.

A stunning Parisian cabaret show

At Paradis Latin, the show “L’Oiseau Paradis” draws the audience into a magical world. The show starts as soon as you step through the doors of our cabaret, where our staff and our artists will welcome you in a surreal, captivating atmosphere. The show lasts more than 90 minutes, during which a range of dancers, actors and actresses, singers, and acrobats perform in a succession of exceptional stage sets embellished with special effects.

“L’Oiseau Paradis” is a timeless tale that tells the story of a waiter who dreams of going on stage and heading the bill. This modern show will awaken your inner child. It respects the traditional codes of cabaret and Parisian revues, in which glamour and the French Cancan are an essential part. The whole performance is sublimated by a French know-how: stage sets, costumes and lighting were created by the greatest professionals.

created by the prestigious Parisian fashion house “On Aura Tout Vu” which designed stage clothing for the biggest international stars such as Rihanna, Beyoncé and Katy Perry, and for numerous Opera ballets.

The daytime offers

In the daytime, the show L’Oiseau Paradis starts at 2:00 pm and puts together all the ingredients for an unforgettable and incredible experience. You may choose from two offers: a lunch-show whose menu has been imagined by the triple Michelin-starred French chef Guy Savoy or a snack-show that consists of pastries and drinks.

The evening offers

Different choices of bookings are available to attend L’Oiseau Paradis in the evening: the show only, the show with drinks included, or the dinner-show whose menus have been created by the triple Michelin-starred chef Guy Savoy. The show is performed every day, except Tuesday, at 9:30 p.m.

The new cabaret experience by Kamel Ouali

Upon producing “L’Oiseau Paradis”, Kamel Ouali, a famous French choreographer and director, took up the challenge of creating a modern cabaret show that remains faithful to the tradition of Parisian revues.

His career has been marked by various artistic collaborations in the world of entertainment (Le Roi Soleil, Les Dix Commandements, Cléopâtre, collaborations with Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, etc.) and French television (Star Academy, La France a un incroyable talent).

Twenty years after its show French Cancan at the Folies Bergères, Kamel Ouali went back to his first love: the cabaret. Him and the choreographer Marie-Laure Philippon joined forces to create a new, modern, and surprising French Cancan for “L’Oiseau Paradis”.

Aerial acrobatics around a bathtub and captivating and humorous numbers also punctuate the show.

Iris Mittenaere, former lead dancer

Iris Mittenaere, Miss France and Miss Universe 2016, joined the troupe as a lead dancer for the launch of the cabaret show “L’Oiseau Paradis”.

Both beauty queen and showgirl, Iris Mittenaere charmed an international audience during her performances.

An international cast

Throughout the process of creating of “L’Oiseau Paradis”, Kamel Ouali wished to modernize the classic form of cabaret and maintain the DNA of Paradis Latin – the conviviality, the festive atmosphere, the fabled French Cancan and the traditional “all in white” final part. Kamel Ouali looked for multi-talented artists who could act, sing and dance. “I asked a lot of improvisation during these auditions”, he said.

More than 1000 artists were auditioned in Paris and London. Giant auditions that sometimes lasted more than 10 hours and during which dancers, singers, comedians and attractions from all over the world showed their talents.

Nearly thirty exceptional artists were finally selected by Kamel Ouali and his team to go on the stage of Paradis Latin cabaret.
