Paradis Latin Joins Butler Collection

Butler Collection brings together addresses unlike any other. Paradis Latin now belongs to it, alongside L'Ambroisie, Pierre Hermé and l'Alcazar. A collection where each Maison is a destination in itself.

A House of Maisons

Paradis Latin is part of Butler Collection. A group quite unlike any other. Not a chain, not a fund: a collection. Founded by Walter Butler, it brings together singular addresses united by the same demand: to create exceptional experiences and moments of authentic emotion. From terroir to stage, Butler Collection embodies a contemporary and bold vision of the French art of living, where each Maison is a destination in itself.

Three pillars, one common standard

The Collection is built around three founding activities.

Hospitality:

The art of welcoming in addresses of character: from Café Lapérouse to the Balcon des Galeries Lafayette, including Manko, Casa Amor and Shellona on the beach of Pampelonne.

Places of life where one comes as much for the table as for the atmosphere.

Exception:

The savoir-faire of rare Maisons: L’Ambroisie, the Domaine de la Brillane and Pierre Hermé Paris.

Three names that embody French excellence at its most singular.

Scènes :

A taste for live performance since 1803.

This pillar brings together four iconic addresses: Paradis Latin, Paris Paradis, Le Bœuf sur le Toit and l’Alcazar.

The Scènes pillar: where it all began

1803, Napoleon Bonaparte inaugurates the Théâtre Latin, which would later be rebuilt by Gustave Eiffel in 1889 to become Paradis Latin. Two visionaries lay, without knowing it, the first stone of what would become two centuries later the Scènes pillar of Butler Collection.

walter_butler_collectionToday, this pillar brings together four addresses: Paradis Latin, Paris Paradis, Le Bœuf sur le Toit and l’Alcazar, the legendary institution of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, currently being reborn under the impetus of Walter Butler. Four places, four identities, one common thread: live performance as a raison d’être, a living emblem of the French art de vivre.

At Paradis Latin, this vision translates into an evening designed from the arrival to the finale. Acquired by Walter Butler in 2019, the venue has since undergone an ambitious transformation: preserving the soul of Paris’s oldest cabaret while fully inscribing it in the 21st century.
